Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior vice president of corporate development. Leveraging his significant CACHET Hospitality Group within both the corporate and consulting environments, he will be working company-wide on new product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, and others. Mirza will be based in the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports directly to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Before joining Hilton, Mirza was a senior executive within the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was in charge of brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career in the beginning Financial, Inc. and opened the very first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes a long period of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates inside the areas of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with management teams inside the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries within the areas of customer strategy, cool product development and repair innovation. Mirza holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, with a focus on brand marketing and corporate strategy. He also holds an M.A. in Economics along with a B.A. Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
